The nearest railway station is Pune station that is connected by road to Bhimashankar. Pune is well connected to rest of India and you can find appropriate train from your city to Pune.

Karjat station is the nearest from Mumbai side but it does not have a road connectivity. You can either trek from Karjat or take a bus from Kalyan, Kurla that will go via Pune.

Bhimashankar by Flight

You can reach Pune by flight from your city. Pune airport is presently a small one so in case there is no direct flight from your city, you can reach Mumbai airport and from there you can directly book a cab to Bhimashankar or get a bus. Details in the bus section below.

Bhimashankar by road

There is a dharmshala as well near temple in Bhimashankar but again, unless you are fine with “not so clean” stay, you may not like it.
