This is an excellent and budget friendly hotel managed by Karnataka Tourism Department and is the only hotel that is on the Nandi Hills!
For around Rs.2500/- you get complementary breakfast, cozy room to stay and chance to be amongst the first to reach the sunrise point. Not to mention you can enjoy the sunset as well which most of the people miss as the downhill ride is not very convenient after sunset.
The check-in time is around 1pm and you will have to check out by 11am. For lunch and dinner, you will have to pay extra.
Liquor is allowed on the hills but you cannot carry your own, you will have to buy it from the Hotel itself.
Do keep in mind, the hotel restaurant close at 8.30pm and nothing is served after this time. You can carry your food and drink to room if you want to enjoy till late at night.
2. Discovery Village Resort:
Looking for more than sunrise and sunset? Do explore the fun of resort at Discovery Village.
You can either take half day package and return after enjoying activities at Discovery village or book a night stay and cover sunrise at Nandi hills.
This is best for corporate team outings, family picnics. They have all the facilities of food, drinks, pools, comfortable beds.
3. White Mist Resort:
This resort is around 60km from Bangalore, near to Nandi hills. Its opposite Thimmaraya Swamy Hills, surrounded by Nandi Hills, Dibbagiri Hills and Skandagiri Hills.
It consists of 2-3BHK villa and individual rooms for stay. Amenities include swimming pool, play area (indoor and outdoor),trek to nearby hill. You can select package that includes Dinner and lunch, breakfast is complimentary along with welcome drink.

This is around 2hrs drive from Bangalore, on the main road. Its a pet friendly and has a separate pool for pets along with pet food options.
